How to Buy Health Insurance Online
These days it seems you can do everything on the Internet, even shop for insurance. It is entirely possible to buy health insurance online without ever entering an insurance agent's office. How is this possible, you ask? Read on to find out. The first thing you need to do is find either an insurance company or an insurance broker who offers free online quotes on health coverage. While quotes aren't set in stone they can give you a good idea of how much you can expect to pay.
BNet health insurance is no different than the policy you would get in person from an insurance agent, unless you are buying health insurance from a fly by night company who is not reputable or trustworthy. Rather than falling for promises about cheap coverage from companies you've never heard of, get quoted by major insurers whose names you recognize. Many brokers can get you these quotes online when you submit a simple quote request form over the Internet.
This form is not going to be as comprehensive as an actual insurance application. However it will ask for details like your name, address, phone number, email address and what kind of insurance coverage you are looking for. It will also ask you to add information about anyone else (such as your spouse or children) that you want to carry on the policy. Once you submit the information you will get estimates from a variety of different companies, unless your quote is coming from a specific insurance company rather than a brokerage. Brokerages are better in my opinion because you get lots of quotes instead of just one.
Once you are ready to buy health insurance online, the next step is to complete a formal application which can be submitted online or done over the phone with a representative. From there your application will be reviewed by an underwriter and within a month you should know if you are approved for insurance coverage or not and how much your monthly payments and policy are going to cost. Your policy will be mailed to you to sign and send back, with copies for you. And usually, the insurer takes the premium right from your bank account or credit card unless you direct them to do otherwise.
